15-inch Briefcase Satchel
Made for work, crafted with heritage.

The 15-inch Briefcase Satchel gives you space without weighing you down. It will take a 14-inch laptop along with books and files, while the front pocket is just right for the things you want to reach quickly, like your phone or wallet.

Each one is handmade in our Liverpool workshop from ethically sourced heavy leather. We stitch them with cotton-nylon thread and secure them with buckle fasteners and rivets built to last. The handle gives the option of carrying it in hand, adding a more traditional briefcase feel when the occasion calls for it. The removable strap means you can also wear it across the body or on the shoulder. The address window on the front pocket keeps the satchel’s schoolbag heritage alive, while our blind embossed logo on the back confirms it as genuine craft.

We’ve been making satchels in Liverpool since the 1960s. This one carries that story forward, a versatile bag for everyday use with the formality to work in professional settings.

Prepay Import Taxes & Customs Duty?

If fees apply, the shipping carrier will contact you once the parcel reaches customs, and payment will be required before the delivery can be completed.

We have been making leather goods here in Liverpool, England since the 1960s. From the start we have cared as much about where our materials come from as how we work with them. Provenance matters. It gives each bag its story, its heritage.

 

We always support British tanneries and suppliers whenever we can. The truth is that unfortunately some of the supplies we need are simply not made in the UK anymore. If we can’t find a UK manufacturer, then we turn to producers in Europe, many of whom are family businesses themselves and have been producing ethically manufactured goods with full traceability for decades.

 

As we’ve said, much of what we use still comes from close to home. We get our leathers from England, Scotland and Europe. We buy hardware from Manchester and Cheshire. Many of the tools we use are made by our team or made locally to our specifications. We do what we can, but sometimes it is simply impossible for us to avoid going further afield.

We use leathers of true quality, ethically produced by tanneries that share our values, and care as much as we do. Each piece is cut by hand with locally made knives, stitched with thread chosen for its strength, and finished with hardware selected for its durability. The materials are chosen with care because we want you to love what you receive and have confidence in how it is made. For these reasons, our small Family Workshop offers a 5-year Craftsmanship Guarantee.

     

    What is Covered

    • Hardware: If a buckle, clasp, or zip breaks because of a fault, we’ll put it right.
    • Stitching: If the stitching comes undone through a mistake in the sewing, we’ll sort it.
    • Rivets: If a rivet gives way and causes trouble, we’ll fix it.
    • Straps and handles: If one snaps because of a flaw in the leather or how it was made, we’ll replace or repair it.

     

    What is Not Covered

    • Everyday wear: Scuffs, scratches, and the way leather ages with use are part of its story, not faults.
    • Neglect: Damage from damp, mould, or not looking after the bag (like leather cracking) isn’t covered. (We supply our own leather care products to help you keep it in good condition).
    • Accidents and pets: Bites, chewing, or knocks from the outside world aren’t part of the guarantee.
    • Loss, theft, or changes: We can’t cover bags that are lost or stolen, or altered or repaired elsewhere.

     

    Lifetime Repair Service
    Beyond the guarantee, we also offer a Lifetime Repair Service for every product we make. If time or use leaves your bag in need of attention, simply contact us and we’ll be glad to help at a fair price.

    Add a personal touch with our custom monogramming. Choose from silver-leaf, gold-leaf or classic blind embossing. Up to eight characters can be stamped in your chosen finish, with or without punctuation.

    The number of characters that will fit depends on the product and the letter shapes, wider letters like ‘M’ take up more space than narrower ones like ‘I’. We use the ‘Edinburgh’ font at point size 30, and can emboss in uppercase, lowercase or a mix. Some symbols and punctuation are available, though we can’t offer accents, subscript or superscript. If you're unsure what will work, feel free to get in touch and we’ll check it for you.
